I also used to fascinate by this sun set but with passage of time, I realized that it brings hopelessness with feeling that another day has been wasted, another darkness I’ll have to face after this sun set.
I rather get fascinated by Morning star more than that rising sun, which would bring the news of advent of rising sun and itself get disappeared.
But yes you are right, sun while setting seems more experienced and full of wisdom.
Good write up bro, really deep. :)

“I realized that it brings hopelessness with feeling that another day has been wasted,”

And what if it’s the day when you are successfully done with your studies and the word “Dr” is proudly associated with your name on this particular day??? :)

Quite many years ago, a teacher of mine used to say that Dusk is an illusion; i don’t remember the explanations she used to give….but I always perceived the connotation to be that, though some majestic beauties of nature are bound not to co-exist, they balance each other so perfectly well that you better not allude to their being antonyms to each other……this page of your diary reinforces that idea. It balances the optimistic, hopeful, mischievious rays of the sun on the rise with the realistic, mature glow of the setting sun so nicely that one fails to relate the setting sun with growing darkness. The dusk in its usual implications really appeared an illusion!!! Good job!
